INFORMATION ABOUT SS 19
(69 - Rovanperä Kalle / Halttunen Jonne): It's quite amazing week. Not so normal, definitely I have to say we have been working quite hard. Really feeling tired now. I think the best thing is we came here and it was not a bad idea to come, we helped the team a lot and took a lot of points for the teams championship so we didn't waste our time. With this kind of preparation, it was tough. I tried not to do any mistakes and on a rally like this it is important.
(33 - Evans Elfyn / Martin Scott): We had a rock on the line in an entry to a corner, it was too late before we missed it but there we go.
(33 - Evans Elfyn / Martin Scott): puncture
(16 - Fourmaux Adrien / Coria Alexandre): It's been a really good weekend for us, it's brand new for me here. It's been a really good result, there are things we can still improve. I said after Sardinia we would like something for Ian and we have got a podium for him, so thank you.
(11 - Neuville Thierry / Wydaeghe Martijn): To be honest, it was a really disappointing weekend for us. We knew before we came it would be difficult, we kept the motviation really high. A lot of setbacks but we knew we needed to come here and manage our race. I want to say thank you to the team for the reliable car and thank you for the good teamwork.
(22 - Sesks Mārtiņš / Francis Renārs): I think it will take some to digest, but we had fun. The good thing for learning is that we lost this front splitter in the last stage, cause it's so hard to drive now. Good preparation for next week where we do Estonia in a Rally2 car! Very excited for Latvia! Rally in Latvia will be very special as an event. Very lucky.
(9 - Mikkelsen Andreas / Eriksen Torstein): It has been a very positive weekend from our side, I have really enjoyed it so that was really positive. It was sad what happened today with the tyre off the rim, I was hitting the banks so we were really unlucky. The right thing to do was to bring the car back for the team and leave it up to Thierry and Ott for the Wolf Power Stage.
(13 - Munster Grégoire / Louka Louis): A lot of positives, I have finished seventh and fought with the guys in front so quite happy with our weekend in general. I struggled in this one, the car wasn't doing exactly what I wanted but we are ready to go again in Latvia.
(18 - Katsuta Takamoto / Johnston Aaron): I pushed very hard but it didn't pay off. I had no pace this weekend, need to find out what was missing for the next one.
(8 - Tänak Ott / Järveoja Martin): Today we did everything we could. Very challenging position to be in. At least a good drive today, but most of the weekend was hanging around and doing nothing. It's a massive shame as I'm sure we had the pace to compete but what can you do?
(36 - Loubet Pierre-Louis / Pascaud Loris): How can we be happy? We have no luck for two years now. We had a puncture on the straight. It's like that.
(24 - Joona Lauri / Hussi Janni): It's great to be at the finish in this kind of race, we have to be happy and it has been the greatest performance from us this year. We have to still improve, but we have to be happy with some stage times and we keep improving for Secto Rally Finland.
(32 - Virves Robert / Lesk Aleks): Even the podium in my situation is maybe not what makes my day much better. It is a shame that it happened, but we must focus on the positives that we had really good pace this weekend and I hope it will help me get more driving.
(23 - Gryazin Nikolay / Aleksandrov Konstantin): Maybe I hit a bank a little bit. When you try to risk it can happen. For me, it is unacceptable. It shouldn't be like this. I tried to manage but it is just not working.
(23 - Gryazin Nikolay / Aleksandrov Konstantin): puncture
(29 - Linnamäe Georg / Morgan James): If it is a podium, I will be very surprised. At the start of the weekend we thought it's not going to happen, but it would be a big motivation boost. It is a shame for Virves and Loubet, Robert especially, he showed good pace all weekend.
(20 - Solberg Oliver / Edmondson Elliott): I think first of all it is very important for the championship. Very disappointing weekend, not happy at all. The team have done a great job, the mechanics always bring a good car. Good for the championship but we have work to do. The Toyotas are quick now and Pajari has done well all weekend. A little bit of work and we'll see.
(21 - Pajari Sami / Mälkönen Enni): It means quite a lot. I am so grateful for all the team. So many to say thanks to again. Kiitos, thank you. It was not an easy one, completely flat out from the beginning. It's a relief to win and an emotional one. So many journalists were asking yesterday 'what if you didn't win?'; I guess we'll never know!
Starting order: Pajari, Solberg, Linnamäe, Gryazin, Virves, Joona, Loubet, Tänak, Katsuta, Munster, Mikkelsen, Sesks, Neuville, Fourmaux, Evans, Rovanperä |
