It took a good lap for the tyres to warm up. The good thing about a late stage is that it is an appropriate time for the people in New Zealand to be watching. | |

It was okay but I was thinking it was better [time wise]. It's not so bad, just the beginning of the rally. Tomorrow will be quite challenging. | |

It wasn't so bad to be honest, it was a tricky stage to get into the rhythm. You start off cold, then on the third lap it starts to get hard on the tyres. Good start to the rally, let's see what happens tomorrow. | |

It's incredible, so many spectators. Unbelievable, maybe I did some mistakes. Let's see what the other guys are doing, the next few days are going to be crazy. | |

I made two stupid mistakes so for sure I lost three to five seconds. My mistakes weren't great but I was quite on the edge, my tyres were quite cold. | |

It has been beautiful as always. This stage is full of spectators. I had trouble with cold tyres but a very nice stage, looking forward to tomorrow. | |
