INFORMATION ABOUT SS 7
flash info (18 - Kopecký Jan / Hloušek Jan): I didn't expect to be leading on the first day of Barum because hte standard is so crazy, lots of fast local drivers out there. Last year on SS1, we had heavy rain for the first car. It's common in Barum, but the pace is really high because the rest of the stages were really dry. 15sec lead is nothing, the first stage tomorrow is crazy! We have to wake up with our right foot and go flat out." I'd be proud to win this rally, I started my rally career here in the 0 car in 2000. I said "I want to win this rally" but I never knew I'd be stood here.
flash info (1 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): It does sound good, but we don't want to be too complacent. Three tricky stages tomorrow so we want to bring it home in one piece. Tomorrow is more tricky, also the locals know the stages very well tomorrow. We've got the car working well this afternoon, so just not going to take any stupid risks and try and maintain it for tomorrow. We're learning a lot, I've never done a bumpy Tarmac rally before, but we're taking it in a lot and we're hoping to come back and do it again next year. I'm glad it's not wet! It's amazing to see a Kiwi flag over there and hopefully we can make sure we party with them all tomorrow night.
flash info (3 - Llarena Efrén / Fernandez Sara): We're doing our best, we can do much more but I'm happy.
flash info (7 - Franceschi Mathieu / Malfoy Andy): For sure, it wasn't a bad day here in Czech. We will see for tomorrow but I want to take maximum pleasure.
flash info (16 - von Thurn und Taxis Albert / Hain Jara): It was the problem we had before, on full throttle it seemed like there was a slip. I couldn't go full throttle, I don't know what is giving the slip. I'm happy we don't lose too much time but we'll see. Hopefully we get it fixed before tomorrow.
flash info (6 - Sesks Mārtiņš / Francis Renārs): We are getting back in shape after two crashes in a row in the last two rallies, it's a nice feeling to be at the finish line and we'll see what tomorrow brings.
flash info (12 - McErlean Joshua / Fulton James): Yeah it's been pretty good, the stages are crazy which everyone knows. As we mentioned before we never really do Tarmac so it's about getting better.
flash info (15 - Tempestini Simone / Itu Sergiu): For sure the hard tyres work better, we're still learning and it's difficult in these stages when you don't want to make a mistake, it's really easy to lose time. We didn't drive this car in this rally, but for next season we'll see.
flash info (1 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): It's obviously not as good a day ticked off, we're counting down the days. Tomorrow is tricky, but we've made some improvements and we're starting to feel more comfortable ahead of tomorrow.
flash info (18 - Kopecký Jan / Hloušek Jan): It feels really good, when you have little experience from the first pass you can release the brake earlier or keep the throttle on the floor, the grip level is not as hard as it was in the first pass.
flash info (20 - Stříteský Dominik / Hovorka Jiří): We used the medium tyres in the morning and I think they were okay, what wasn't okay was me because I didn't have the rhythm in the morning, now it looks a little bit better.
flash info (10 - Wagner Simon / Winter Gerald): We got some new brakes in the service. Great day for us, good work from the team who I am very impressed with and the new hard Michelin tyre compounds work perfectly.
flash info (9 - Mareš Filip / Bucha Radovan): The pace is really high, I enjoyed the afternoon loop and we improved the driving, but on a long stage it's harder to catchg the guys as they're a lot faster than me. It's a difficult day with challenging stages, but anything can happen and we're still in the race.
flash info (14 - Csomós Miklós / Bán Viktor): It's amazing, it's very fast. The tempo is not normal. I am very happy, the 2nd place at the end of the day is very good. It's making me very happy.
flash info (11 - Cais Erik / Bacigál Igor): We are racing, and we have to race until finish, we're not giving up. It's not a great feeling fighting at the top and then doing a mistake. Sorry for it, but that's motor racing.
retired (40 - Rossi Ghjuvanni / Sarmezan Kylian): lost wheel in SS 7
(5 - Lukyanuk Alexey / Chervonenko Yevhen): problems with fuel pump
Stage will be postponed after st. no. 24 for 11 minutes. Stage will be restarted then.
