Pretty horrible, I had some troubles in the beginning of the stage, it was always going out of the line. Really strange why it was behaving like that. It was really sliding a lot and a lot of wheel spin. Compared to the first three stage it was completely different. | |

We overheated the brakes on the tarmac and the surface was extremely dirty. Lots of gravel, and big stones too, it was easy to break the suspension and it will be worse on the repeat. | |

I have always struggled with it the stage, for sure this is the cleanest run we have had through it. It is the same every year we come here, the Volkswagens seem to be able to look after their tyres and that is important on a long stage like this. | |

Towards the end it started to get quite difficult with the tyres but I think we managed it quite well. I drove completely differently this time to last year - the car setup is changed and my approach to the corners is a lot more brave. | |
