15. 09. 2013 15:10 CET
22 flash info (84 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): We struggled on the first two with the car on the soft sandy surface – the car doesn’t have the power or torque. Again this afternoon it will be damage limitation and we’ll have a push on the last one. I think it will be like train tracks on the second run with it cutting up – we’ll just have to get in to the wheel ruts and see how it goes.
15. 09. 2013 23:09
15. 09. 2013 15:09 CET
22 flash info (8 - Ogier Sébastien / Ingrassia Julien): They are nice stages this morning. Today I haven’t been pushing – the aim is to just cross the line so I am not going crazy and you have more time to think when you’re not pushing. The car is going okay so should be good for the last three stages.
15. 09. 2013 23:08
15. 09. 2013 15:08 CET
22 flash info (2 - Hirvonen Mikko / Lehtinen Jarmo): Second is the target. Everyone is just monitoring their speed and making sure they don’t make any mistakes and just finish. The stages today were alright. I didn’t like the second one so much but we made it through – so that’s okay. Today has long straights, lots of trees and flat-out corners.
15. 09. 2013 23:07
15. 09. 2013 15:07 CET
22 flash info (11 - Neuville Thierry / Gilsoul Nicolas): I think the Wedding Bells stage was good too – and really enjoyed it. Even the last stage – it was really fast and enjoyable. For me it is important to finish in the position I’m in – we’re in good point and if we do well I can get extra points in the power stage.
15. 09. 2013 23:06
15. 09. 2013 15:06 CET
22 flash info (7 - Latvala Jari-Matti / Anttila Miikka): I think when I cut one corner a bit there was some fence wire in the grass and it got tangled around the rear damper. I have orders to be clever now. I haven’t been a morning person so I thought it should be this time and have a clean run. There are some tricky parts although the middle stage – Wedding Bells – was the best.
15. 09. 2013 23:05
15. 09. 2013 15:05 CET
22 flash info (9 - Mikkelsen Andreas / Nagle Paul): We are cruising at this point – although we’ve been going slower the times have been better. Our plan is to help Volkswagen get more manufacturer points than Citroen. I’m looking forward to coming back next year.
15. 09. 2013 23:04
15. 09. 2013 15:04 CET
22 flash info (4 - Østberg Mads / Andersson Jonas): Today has been good and the times have been quite okay. We will try for points in the power stage and I think it will be loose in sections where in others I don’t think road position will matter. The first day was very difficult, yesterday we did a little better although a mistake yesterday cost us but it’s our first time here and we are getting faster and faster and the pace notes are getting better and better.
15. 09. 2013 23:03
15. 09. 2013 15:03 CET
22 flash info (22 - Quinn Nathan / MacNeall Glenn): I think I’m having fun – and I’m smiling all day every day. The team is really good and the car is fantastic – we’ve been having a ball and is a dream come true for me. Three stages to go! The car has power, makes all the right noises, goes sideways and even makes me look good doing what I’m doing.
15. 09. 2013 23:02
15. 09. 2013 15:02 CET
22 flash info (10 - Al Qassimi Khalid / Martin Scott): The best stages of the rally were today – they’re not slippery. The rally is challenging and experience as it changes grip levels and you must have good car control and not make a mistake. You have to work hard to read the road.
15. 09. 2013 23:01
15. 09. 2013 15:01 CET
22 flash info (3 - Meeke Kris / Patterson Chris): The car is back to being perfect to me – thanks to the mechanics who worked hard overnight. They’re happy to see me back in the car although I’m paying the penalty for being first on the road today. The roads this morning were complete marbles – and on a crest it’s so difficult to judge. Enjoyable though – especially the last one, with massive trees lining the finish and you’re in fifth/sixth gear.

22 (3 - Meeke Kris / Patterson Chris): problems with suspension
14. 09. 2013 18:11
14. 09. 2013 10:11 CET
16 flash info (84 - Paddon Hayden / Kennard John): It hasn’t been too bad and we’ve had our fair share of little problems today. The stage times have been important and we’ve been able to deliver. We don’t want to throw the car away and the motivation is my career – we just need someone to give us a chance.
14. 09. 2013 18:10
14. 09. 2013 10:10 CET
16 flash info (35 - Al Rajhi Yazeed / Orr Michael): It was very difficult but we are enjoying the rally – and we have learned a lot. Very difficult to drive but for me a great experience.
14. 09. 2013 18:09
14. 09. 2013 10:09 CET
16 flash info (8 - Ogier Sébastien / Ingrassia Julien): We are very happy. Up to now the rally has been perfect for us. Now we just need to keep this place.
14. 09. 2013 18:08
14. 09. 2013 10:08 CET
16 flash info (2 - Hirvonen Mikko / Lehtinen Jarmo): It’s been alright but one more day to go. There is a bit of a gap now to Ogier and I will try to keep up with him.
14. 09. 2013 18:07
14. 09. 2013 10:07 CET
16 flash info (11 - Neuville Thierry / Gilsoul Nicolas): We are quite happy – and can be pleased with my day and are looking forward to tomorrow. It was a good stage for us although it was quite slippy. No dust so it was better than yesterday.
14. 09. 2013 18:06
14. 09. 2013 10:06 CET
16 flash info (7 - Latvala Jari-Matti / Anttila Miikka): I’m enjoying the stage but my tyres are worn out and it’s very slippy compared to yesterday. I started slow today and without the spin that cost me a lot of time it would have been okay. It’s a bit tough to get that back now.
14. 09. 2013 18:05
14. 09. 2013 10:05 CET
16 flash info (4 - Østberg Mads / Andersson Jonas): It’s been quite okay to be honest. The morning stages were very good from a driver point-of-view. The last stage we had a big spin and lost a lot of time unfortunately. We are still here and ready for tomorrow.
14. 09. 2013 18:04
14. 09. 2013 10:04 CET
16 flash info (9 - Mikkelsen Andreas / Nagle Paul): It’s been a really nice rally – with fantastic roads. A fantastic challenge for the drivers and the cars. Hard running as one of the first cars on the road today though.
14. 09. 2013 18:03
14. 09. 2013 10:03 CET
16 flash info (5 - Novikov Evgeny / Minor Ilka): For us it was very slippery out there then we got a slow puncture on the second loop of the long stage – so it was quite difficult for us. We are trying to drive in a good rhythm and get to the finish – there is nothing for us to fight for.
14. 09. 2013 18:02
14. 09. 2013 10:02 CET
16 flash info (22 - Quinn Nathan / MacNeall Glenn): That was slippery but I’m getting more and more comfortable behind the wheel of the car.
14. 09. 2013 18:01
14. 09. 2013 10:01 CET
16 flash info (10 - Al Qassimi Khalid / Martin Scott): That was crazy – the stage is totally different. Not the best sweeping the road – quite a difficult job. At least we are here and trying to enjoy it.
14. 09. 2013 16:30

13. 09. 2013 18:46
13. 09. 2013 10:46 CET
10 flash info (3 - Meeke Kris / Patterson Chris): There are some corners getting cut up and they get filled up with the powder of the dust - and the car becomes a little difficult to drive in those conditions. We've had no testing for this type of rally so I've had to learn to learn the setup and dial myself in but I'd have to say it’s fantastic, given me a lot of confidence and I can drive it how I want. I'm under orders to finish this weekend and get a good position - so I will drive to by own rhythm and see if we can be in the top places.
13. 09. 2013 18:45
13. 09. 2013 10:45 CET
10 flash info (8 - Ogier Sébastien / Ingrassia Julien): I'm not in flat-out mode - although I am trying to get a good result and at the moment I feel safe to drive and where there is a tricky bit in the stage I try to back off a bit. When it's safe and am confident of the car of course I'm trying to go fast. We'll make some adjustments to the car for this afternoon
13. 09. 2013 18:44
13. 09. 2013 10:44 CET
10 flash info (11 - Neuville Thierry / Gilsoul Nicolas): It is our first time here and the first two stages weren't so bad - we've survived the first run so I'm sure we'll get through the second.
13. 09. 2013 18:42
13. 09. 2013 10:42 CET
10 flash info (9 - Mikkelsen Andreas / Nagle Paul): First stage we almost had a spin but on the second it was okay. On the third we a moment where we had to take an escape road – which luckily was there and had to turn around. The problem was the dust – I couldn’t see where I was going and had to wait in neutral for it to clear before I could go again. It was a small mistake that cost a lot of time when it’s that dusty.
13. 09. 2013 18:41
13. 09. 2013 10:41 CET
10 flash info (2 - Hirvonen Mikko / Lehtinen Jarmo): I am really happy considering my road position. I didn’t have a good qualifying stage yesterday so I’m having to take a few risks now to make up for it. This morning it worked pretty well though. There are some really fast sections and some narrow – and the road looks a lot wider than it looks too, in places. Tomorrow the roads are a bit like New Zealand but they are really good overall. It was so slippery that a couple of times I slid wide a little bit and hit the bank – that would be enough to knock the tyre off the rim but not this time – so we were lucky. So in that way I can’t push any harder.
13. 09. 2013 18:43
13. 09. 2013 10:43 CET
9 flash info (4 - Østberg Mads / Andersson Jonas): It’s not perfect. The first two stages weren’t so bad and you need perfect pace notes to be fast on this event – and we don’t have that so that takes a bit of our confidence away. For SS5 and SS8 it’s too much to change the notes and we will try to just adapt to them for that next pass.

12. 09. 2013 08:08 CET
2 flash info (76 - Aksa Subhan / Arena Nicola): We were late coming out of the service park so there was a lot of adrenaline going through my body with everything being so intense. We were a bit cool in the tyres but a good job tonight.

12. 09. 2013 08:07 CET

12. 09. 2013 16:06
12. 09. 2013 08:06 CET
2 flash info (3 - Meeke Kris / Patterson Chris): Some corners are like ice – they’ve put some water down on the gravel sections and when there is concrete lining the routes you don’t want to be stupid and touch anything.
12. 09. 2013 16:05
12. 09. 2013 08:05 CET
2 flash info (8 - Ogier Sébastien / Ingrassia Julien): I expected to be difficult but it was a fun stage. It’s already quite rough but also slippy – just have to avoid making mistakes.
12. 09. 2013 16:04
12. 09. 2013 08:04 CET
2 flash info (11 - Neuville Thierry / Gilsoul Nicolas): It was ok – I am looking forward to tomorrow.

12. 09. 2013 08:03 CET
2 flash info (4 - Østberg Mads / Andersson Jonas): Like the previous one, not so happy. I have been having a lot of understeer.
12. 09. 2013 16:02
12. 09. 2013 08:02 CET
2 flash info (9 - Mikkelsen Andreas / Nagle Paul): They decided to water that corner and it’s completely blind so suddenly it was super slippy.
12. 09. 2013 16:01
12. 09. 2013 08:01 CET
2 flash info (22 - Quinn Nathan / MacNeall Glenn): It was pretty untidy but we’re learning a lot pretty quickly – so we should be right by Saturday night. Tomorrow will be really good as it’ll be much better on roads that are a lot wider out there.
