INFORMATION ABOUT SS 16
flash info (5 - Pajari Sami / Salminen Marko): It's not easy, it's never meant to be easy, but still we are somehow quite comfortable with the lead, but it's anyway quite many kilometres to do as well tomorrow, so it's not too straightforward, but there was on the road section one fan with a really cool poster, which said: "Sami, don't listen to Marko, send it." So I'm trying to follow that.
flash info (99 - Solberg Oliver / Edmondson Elliott): The morning was definitely much more positive than yesterday. I wish we would have that feeling yesterday, but, yeah, no, I think the feeling is getting better and better. Yeah, the commitment is still not there, the risk-taking is still not there, and that's what you need, you know, to beat Sami, you know, he's been driving extremely well and a big attack. So, yeah, I'm just driving clean all the time, just trying to stay in my lane and do the best I can with the confidence I have at the moment. And yeah, at least the balance of the car is not so bad. And, yeah, a little bit optimistic with the tyre choices afternoon, that's for sure. And it just made it a bit difficult to attack flat out, but anyway, the most important is we're here.
flash info (16 - Fourmaux Adrien / Coria Alexandre): I'm quite happy with the day. We had some tyre issues this morning, puncture, etc., so that was quite nice to manage it. And this afternoon, we had quite a lot of tyre wear to repair, but overall, I'm quite pleased with the day. It's a shame the time in the previous stage, but I tried my best. They are very enjoyable stages. Driving this rally with this Rally1, it's something that I will never forget. It's such a great experience. So I'm gonna still enjoy tomorrow the two big stages.
flash info (11 - Neuville Thierry / Wydaeghe Martijn): I am really happy with my tyre choice. I managed them quite well throughout the run and, yeah, just finding the good balance and enjoying it. So that was nice. Adrien was super fast, so hopefully tomorrow the battle is on and we can have some fun together and see who ends up on the podium.
flash info (1 - Ogier Sébastien / Landais Vincent): It's been a bit of a long day, for sure. It's been just normal, let's say. Nothing special, but it would have been difficult to anyway catch position today, so I think we just did what we had to do, and that means just keep the position, and tomorrow for sure we'll have to try a bit harder.
flash info (22 - Sesks Mārtiņš / Francis Renārs): I think it was a bit of a mix. Definitely the morning we started, I think, quite good until the puncture. Then, yeah, during the service and so on, it was great. But, yeah, maybe a bit today struggling with the second pass.
flash info (4 - Lappi Esapekka / Mälkönen Enni): Yeah, it's been a difficult two days, to be honest. I don't know, I don't know why, but I'm really, like you said, it's, I'm completely kind of lost. It kind of feels good, but the times are not coming, and we just don't understand really why. Normally I always find a way during the rally that we find the speed, but now I can't. So maybe I'm too old already. Okay, Séb is older, but he's also way more, better than me, so he can do it. But it seems that I can't anymore.
flash info (33 - Evans Elfyn / Martin Scott): Obviously the morning was strong for us, and then we tried some changes at midday to try and find some improvement, but we actually went a bit backwards. So, yeah, I didn't enjoy the same feeling in the car this afternoon, so at least we know what we've got to push for now.
flash info (95 - Armstrong Jon / Byrne Shane): I think we showed some good potential, some good speed, and, yeah, we're enjoying driving the Rally1 cars at this level with some of the best drivers in the world, and you get to the end of the stage and you're not so far away from them, or you're fastest, so you can't complain with that. And, yeah, we had a good bit of battling with Taka today, and I was asking him before the stage if he was gonna let me win this one, and he did, so thanks, Taka.
flash info (18 - Katsuta Takamoto / Johnston Aaron): Hopefully today helped for Rally Finland. And, yeah, tomorrow, of course, we try our best to take some points. But yeah, I'm happy to go back now to the hotel.
