INFORMATION ABOUT SS SHAKEDOWN
Runs of drivers codriven by VIP: Neuville (2:53.9), Evans (2:57.4), Fourmaux (2:53.3), Tänak (2:52.7), Katsuta (2:56.5), Munster (2:57.2)
(24 - Pajari Sami / Mälkönen Enni): I hope the chances for this weekend are really good. At least the feeling is nice, it was a bit slippery on this stage but at least the feeling was nice.
(22 - Greensmith Gus / Andersson Jonas): It will be a tough weekend for sure, the trickiest one of the year in terms of competition because everyone is here but it is a good chance to take points away from everyone.
(23 - López José María / Vázquez David): We're happy to start the rally, but not the best feeling with the pace of the car. There were technical problems, but we'll take it step by step and see how it goes.
(25 - Gryazin Nikolay / Aleksandrov Konstantin): We will see, we are not collecting points here so we need to find the rhythm with the car. If it works like this, it works alright. For some parts, we are here to learn.
(20 - Solberg Oliver / Edmondson Elliott): Just don't do any donuts and I should be fine and won't have to push like the others! We'll give it a push and we'll see.
(21 - Rossel Yohan / Dunand Arnaud): For the moment I think it's a bit early to say I can win on gravel but let's see, the car will improve and so will the driver and co-driver. So happy to come back to Portugal, it's a nice atmosphere and the stages are crazy. If I don't play for the win, the plan is to take maximum points.
(6 - Sordo Dani / Carrera Cándido): Really happy to be back, especially at this rally. Everybody will say the road position does matter, but there are a lot of really fast drivers.
(13 - Munster Grégoire / Louka Louis): Really looking forward to this weekend, it is a bit like Rally Italia Sardinia as a rally that everyone knows, so it is good to be here with this car.
(69 - Rovanperä Kalle / Halttunen Jonne): It feels nice to be back, shakedown is not the best pace for us and the car is not 100%. It's nice to be back and nice to see the fans.
(18 - Katsuta Takamoto / Johnston Aaron): Pushing like hell! It will be demanding but I am very pumped. I try to do my best for the win.
(17 - Ogier Sébastien / Landais Vincent): Two years ago I had a good start position here but we had a disaster rally, lots of punctures and nightmares. I want to correct that this year, I am happy to be here, good rally and amazing crowds.
(8 - Tänak Ott / Järveoja Martin): The road position is not too bad, should be okay. We need to push on.
(16 - Fourmaux Adrien / Coria Alexandre): We are happy to be in Portugal, we can expect a lot of fans so we want it to be a big show. We know it is going to be a big challenge for the championship, but we will see how it goes.
(33 - Evans Elfyn / Martin Scott): It's going to be difficult but it is more or less the same boat for Neuville, we need to focus on ourselves and have a good clean Friday to give us an advantage.
(11 - Neuville Thierry / Wydaeghe Martijn): I have no clue what to expect. It isn't the surface where we're the strongest, we'll see. Anything can happen, the grip isn't great. I hope the weekend is better than the first one. |
