INFORMATION ABOUT SS 1 | |
(40 - Rossi Ghjuvanni / Sarmezan Kylian): The stage was not so bad, quite demanding for the tyre. We will try to enjoy the weekend and enjoy the rally in this country.
(39 - Dominguez Diego / Peñate Rogelio): Quite relaxed to be honest, different kind of pressure now. Happy to be here in Japan, amazing atmosphere. Quite excited for this last round. There is a lot of fans everywhere, on the stages we are being gifted traditional stuff. We have a million different gifts from recce, we are taking home.
(38 - Imai Satoshi / Farmer Jason): It was too good for me as a start.
(36 - Kogure Hikaru / Luhtinen Topi): It is always nice to drive in front of fans but this is a special one, it is my home rally and some of my family and friends are there, so it is always fun to drive.
(29 - Yamamoto Yuki / Salminen Marko): I don't know what happened, but not so nice in front of the Japanese fans. It is just stage one, let's have a good feeling for tomorrow. It is incredible. I haven't seen so many fans in a rally event, they gave us a lot of energy.
(29 - Yamamoto Yuki / Salminen Marko): stalled engine
(27 - Vassilakis Georgios / Harryman Allan): I'm doing good, I love it. It is a beautiful country. We are very fortunate to have a WRC race here, they are so hospitable, so clean.
(24 - McErlean Joshua / Fulton James): The people of this country are surreal, the respect they have for us as people coming here is unreal. Let's enjoy the experience.
(18 - Katsuta Takamoto / Johnston Aaron): Super special feeling, nice to see all the fans here, my friends and family. It will not be easy, but I will try to do my best. I am still waiting for a message from Jari-Matti to push. I don't know when it's coming so let's see. Thank you to Red Bull for my helmet.
(11 - Neuville Thierry / Wydaeghe Martijn): We are counting down the stages that is for sure. The biggest ones are coming, the objectives are clear for the week as a team. It is good to see everybody motivated and quite relaxed. Everyone is going to do their best for the team but also for the drivers' title. Once the rally started it is probably even easier to manage the stress. It will be a challenging weekend for us but we need to keep concentrated and do the job.
(33 - Evans Elfyn / Martin Scott): I'm not sure how much of a build-up this is for tomorrow, nice to do, we look forward to tomorrow. The reception has been incredible so far, it's very nice. A repeat of a win last year would be great.
(8 - Tänak Ott / Järveoja Martin): It was all-clean stage, nice atmosphere but otherwise looking forward to tomorrow.
(16 - Fourmaux Adrien / Coria Alexandre): We had so many quotes with Fast & Furious, I couldn't come to Tokyo without the strip lighting. I've seen we crossed the line before Ogier, we will see what the rally brings.
(17 - Ogier Sébastien / Landais Vincent): Not so great, we always struggle in there. Still isn't the setup we need for here.
(9 - Mikkelsen Andreas / Eriksen Torstein): It was empty of fuel, started stopping and with half a lap to go it was stopping. I had to drive right to left to keep the fuel. We almost didn't reach the finish line.
(13 - Munster Grégoire / Louka Louis): It's great to see so many fans, also nice to have such a stage where you can fight with someone else. It is always amusing. Previous year we were way too soft but we got it right this time.
(21 - Gryazin Nikolay / Aleksandrov Konstantin): I was feeling nice, not difficult to push on this stage because of the concrete. The roundabout was nice, that jump was easy and you don't have to worry about damaging anything.
(20 - Pajari Sami / Mälkönen Enni): Quite nice. Not really perfect drive but the grip was much better than expected, I could have pushed a bit more but it is fine. Maybe not so much pressure I would say, but there is always some pressure no matter what rally you are about to do, it is normal.
(22 - Kajetanowicz Kajetan / Szczepaniak Maciej): It's not bad, it's not bad yet. It is nice to be here again. It is great atmosphere.
(23 - Solans Jan / Sanjuán Rodrigo): It's amazing to be in Toyota stadium, driving a Toyota in Japan so we try to enjoy as much as we can and just have fun. It will be very challenging, it is my first year here so I don't have experience. I saw on shakedown it is very slippery, so this will be key on the rally.
(25 - Greensmith Gus / Andersson Jonas): It's great when they have head to heads, they are so much better. I wish they had more, very enjoyable. It is mega, quite a few fans turned up.
(30 - Ingram Chris / Kihurani Alexander): It's amazing to be here, what a rally! Can't wait to get stuck into the proper stuff and nice close race with Gus I think. What a rally, what a job everyone has done.
(31 - Arai Hiroki / Matsuo Shunsuke): Struggling to get the feeling with the cars and the tyres, but otherwise everything fine. I hope the fans enjoy it.
(32 - Kovalainen Heikki / Kitagawa Sae): It feels great, it has been a strange year but I am grateful that we found the issue and people took care of it. I am glad to be back in full health and full fitness and looking forward to the weekend.
(35 - Nutahara Fumio / Azuma Shungo): The stage is exciting, many fans. I am the happiest!
(41 - Arai Toshihiro / Inoue Sota): This time is not so bad, but in a left hand bend, I lost maybe two or three seconds! That was not good but the stadium was so good.
(43 - Auriol Didier / Giraudet Denis): We had the engine stop, a few times, it was nothing more. Very open. We'll check. |
