INFORMATION ABOUT SS 8 | |
(10 - Latvala Jari-Matti / Anttila Miikka): retired after SS 8
(10 - Latvala Jari-Matti / Anttila Miikka): Overall a great day, the fight was getting harder and I knew I had to fight back. But in these conditions I was pushing too much for the tyres I had. That's the mistake I made. I tried to get out as soon as possible but once you are stuck it's hard. There were only a couple of spectators around to help. If there were five or six people we would have been out in 20 seconds. We have retired now. I'll be back tomorrow.
(33 - Evans Elfyn / Martin Scott): The afternoon was a lot better than the morning. I'm happy with what we achieved. We worked a lot on the car before the rally and we can all be happy with the work we did. It's a big fight now - we have to keep pushing tomorrow.
(4 - Lappi Esapekka / Ferm Janne): A difficult day, there have been many mistakes - including one from me. The conditions were tricky. I expect more tyre management tomorrow.
(89 - Mikkelsen Andreas / Jæger Anders): We've been quite consistent today but I saved my tyres a bit too much. We will try to push hard tomorrow. The guys ahead might make mistakes so I have to keep myself there.
(3 - Suninen Teemu / Salminen Marko): The feeling is amazing. Leading overnight is what everybody is aiming so I can be more than happy with the job I have done. We had a really good pre-event test and the team all pushed in the right direction. I really enjoyed my drive today.
(5 - Meeke Kris / Marshall Sebastian): I'm happy to be here in one sense. We struggled for pace in the morning, okay it got better in the repeat but I stalled on Rojden and that cost me seven or eight seconds. We're fighting hard for road position and that's frustrating. Road position is going to make a big difference tomorrow.
(8 - Tänak Ott / Järveoja Martin): It's been a day full of surprises. This stage was no fun at all with deep snow. I had a few moments but I gave it a go. We had a strong first loop, in the afternoon it was about surviving with no mistakes.
(11 - Neuville Thierry / Gilsoul Nicolas): The stage was full of slush. I was first car on the road and there was no grip at all. I pushed like hell for my road position on Saturday.
(95 - Jonasson Jörgen / Jonasson Nicklas): retired after SS 8
(95 - Jonasson Jörgen / Jonasson Nicklas): was out of road
