flash info (3 - Meeke Kris / Nagle Paul): Very tricky. It was all good, good information from ice crew. There was some black ice on 4 or 5 corners and nearly caught me out. And there is so much mud on the road, it is going to be interesting the next time through. Some of the fast sections, the road is covered in mud. I am happy to get through.

flash info (10 - Kubica Robert / Szczepaniak Maciej): It has been difficult start, very tricky conditions. There is no grip wherever is ice, wherever there is snow, very difficult.
flash info (6 - Evans Elfyn / Barritt Daniel): Very very difficult. We thought this stage was clear but there are still some patches of ice. Trying to manage it the best I can. To be honest I am really enjoying the experience, enjoying every minute.
flash info (9 - Mikkelsen Andreas / Markkula Mikko): Very very tough start to the year. We take it very careful, I done this rally before and went off after four stages so I have to drive accordingly. We learn it kilometre by kilometre. I have to drive really safely.
flash info (4 - Østberg Mads / Andersson Jonas): Incredible, on this stage some tricky sections, I feel I am not so use to the car yet, I do two spins which I need not to do… My instincts are still not use to this car yet. We had two full spins and we lose 15 to 20 seconds. I need to learn the car and if it is only spins, it is not too much drama.

flash info (8 - Sordo Dani / Martí Marc): Now it is much better, the stage was completely normal at the beginning with good grip. We are really really good. Car was not too bad, we need a little bit more power from the car, we need more kilometres with the car. We need to try not to make mistakes.
flash info (5 - Hirvonen Mikko / Lehtinen Jarmo): I went off and got a scare from that so backed right off. I stalled the engine and had to reverse back to the road.
flash info (2 - Latvala Jari-Matti / Anttila Miikka): Now it was good stage. The car felt good. Ice patches on the stage and then at the end it will get a little bit dirty. It was starting to get very wet. For me it was black top black ice which was the problem.
flash info (1 - Ogier Sébastien / Ingrassia Julien): Very tough, I am first on the road. Not an easy job, we take it easy on this one, we take it very careful. It was more easy than SS 1, no snow.
Stage is mostly wet with some icy paths.
